Uitbundig fruitig en grote complexiteit. Dat is waar Krone voor staat. De KRONE-wijngaard in de stad Laubenheim ligt direct naast de LÖHRER BERG. Geografische nabijheid is echter vrijwel al wat deze wijngaarden gemeen hebben. De steile zuidoostelijke helling van de KRONE wordt gekenmerkt door een mix van lichte en grove bodems van ontkalkte löss en verweerde zandsteen, die de Rieslings een zeer complex karakter geven. Dramatische extreme temperaturen als gevolg van de blootstelling aan de westenwind, het meest uitgesproken ‘s nachts, geven de wijn een ietwat scherper karakter met een uitgesproken citrusaroma.

“From weathered red sandstone and light loam soils, Tesch’s 2022 Krone Laubenheimer Riesling trocken is pure and dense on the quite intense and citric-scented nose. Dense and round on the plate, with a good texture and well-integrated acidity, this is a cooler-styled dry Riesling with not much juice but good phenolic structure.
