Kirrenbourg Pinot Noir Cuvee Mathieu 2021
The new pearl of Alsace: domaine Kirrenbourg. The ambitious team led by winemaker Samuel Tottoli has been working hard in recent years to make wines that can compete with the absolute top of Alsace, and often even surpass them. The vineyards are rigorously biodynamically worked. In terms of winemaking, spontaneous fermentations and slow maturations are chosen that let the grape and the terroir speak for themselves.
This Cuvee Mathieu has achieved cult status in recent years. When the later winner of the best sommelier in the world competition tasted this wine blind on stage and immediately ordered all the bottles in circulation, the floodgates opened. For lovers of the richer, fuller type of Pinot Noir.
