Kracher Pinot Gris 2021
Gerhard Kracher is now the 3rd generation winemaker in this iconic wine estate. Father Alois was the man who put the wine region Seewinkel in Burgenland on the international wine map. He saw the potential in the region for making noble sweet wines. Although the dry wines from this estate are also world class. Alois' work is so appreciated by colleagues & the press that he was named Austrian winemaker of the year no less than 7 times. In short, the shoes that Gerhard had to fill in 2007 were quite big. Fortunately, Gerhard succeeds with brio in making the same quality wines as his father.
This Pinot Gris offers you the best that this grape has to offer. Fine fresh apples, honeydew melon and a wild spiciness characterize the nose. In the mouth a juicy, elegant structure and flavors of tropical fruit and fresh citrus complemented by soft acidity and a hint of minerality.
