JNK Malvazija 2019
JNK by Kristina Mervic is one of the most interesting natural wine estates we have been able to discover in recent years. Kristina works biodynamically on a small 3.5Ha vineyard in the North of Vipava, on the border with Goriska Brda. Pure & complex are the key words here.
A 100% malvasia from 40 year old vineyards, with a maceration period of 40 hours, which makes for a very interesting wine. The wine has a straw yellow color with golden hues. It is not completely clear, and already at the first smell you notice the contact with the grape skins. Intense nuances of bread, coffee and chocolate. In the mouth the wine feels dry, with a strong minerality, a fresh undertone and an inviting character.
